BSU Rector, Scholars, and Students Participate in the “AZLING 2025” Conference
Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), along with faculty members and students of the Faculty of Philology, took part in the International Scientific Conference “AZLING 2025: The Azerbaijani Language and Modern Linguistics”, held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in the Neftchala district with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Regional Development Public Union.
During the opening ceremony, representatives of state institutions and the academic community emphasized the strategic importance of preserving and developing the Azerbaijani language in an era of rapid globalization.
BSU Rector Elchin Babayev noted that the conference provides an important platform for scientific evaluation of current linguistic challenges and for outlining tasks necessary for the development of the Azerbaijani language. He stressed that state language policy requires the modernization of linguistics, the application of innovative teaching methods, and the expansion of scientific research.
Following the plenary session, the “Young Linguists” forum was held, where BSU representatives presented reports on the development of Azerbaijani linguistics.
The conference continued with sectional sessions featuring research presentations by BSU professors, doctoral students, and students.
