Rector of Baku State University (BSU) Elchin Babayev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, during his visit to Islamabad.

The meeting focused on expanding scientific and academic collaboration between BSU and leading Pakistani universities. Discussions covered joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, and the progress of existing agreements. Both sides explored new opportunities to enhance institutional integration.

Rector Babayev highlighted the strong fraternal ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, emphasizing their growing cooperation in education, science, and culture. He outlined BSU’s commitment to launching international research projects, forming academic consortiums, and organizing joint conferences and cultural events with Pakistani counterparts.

Ambassador Farhadov reaffirmed the significance of educational cooperation in Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations and assured the embassy’s support in further strengthening these academic partnerships. He emphasized the need to accelerate efforts to expand BSU’s ties with Pakistani universities.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to take concrete steps toward deepening bilateral academic cooperation and fostering long-term collaboration.
