BSU Researchers Win Technology Transfer Program
A project from the Physics Department of Baku State University (BSU) has been selected as a winner of the Technology Transfer Program, initiated by the High Technologies Park of the Ministry of Science and Education in cooperation with the Education Development Foundation and the SABAH.HUB Innovation Center.
The BSU project was among the five successful projects selected from 76 submissions to the program. It focuses on developing high-frequency photodetectors for use in fiber-optic communication technologies. The project team includes Professor Ali Huseynov, lecturer Fidan Akhmedova, and doctoral student Lamiya Balayeva.
The main goal of the project is to develop ultra-high-frequency photodetectors that are simple in structure yet highly efficient.
The results of this research hold significant potential for practical application and patenting. The team plans to commercialize the photodetectors developed within the project and ensure their widespread use in modern optoelectronics.
