BSU Scientist Researches Nanocomposites in Treatment of Oral Diseases

The article "Exploring essential-oil based bio-composite: molecular docking, and in vitro analysis for oral bacterial biofilm inhibition," co-authored by the Dean of the Faculty of Biology at Baku State University (BSU), Professor Afet Mamedova, has been published in the journal "Frontiers in Chemistry."

Oral Bacterial biofilms are main reason for progression of resistance to antimicrobial agents that may lead to severe conditions including periodontitis and gingivitis. Essential oils based nano-composites can be a promising treatment option here
