Faculty members of the Department of Ecological Chemistry of the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science of Baku State University received a patent for new method of wastewater treatment.
The developed technique will allow to clean and reuse industrial wastewater and to save 200,000 m3 of fresh water  monthly.

The authors of the patent are the head of the Department of Ecological Chemistry, Professor Sevinj Hajiyeva, Professors Giyas Bayramov and Nazim Shamilov, PhD Zarifa Veliyeva, Associate Professor Fatali Huseynov, doctoral students Narmin Rakida and Rajab Mammadov.
