BSU Signs Cooperation Agreement with QS Ranking Organization

Rector of Baku State University (BSU), Elchin Babayev, met with Sergey Khristolyubov, Regional Director of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the world’s leading university ranking organization, to discuss BSU's recent achievements and future goals.

During the meeting, Rector Babayev shared details about the university's efforts to enhance its global competitiveness. Sergey Khristolyubov congratulated Babayev on BSU's significant progress in the "QS World University Rankings 2025," where the university climbed 179 places to rank within the 951-1000 range, making it the top institution in Azerbaijan. Khristolyubov also highlighted BSU’s impressive rise in the QS Europe 2025 rankings, moving up 78 positions to secure 336th place, and its advance in the QS West Asia 2025 rankings, where it climbed four spots to reach 15th place among 93 universities.

Following the discussions, BSU and QS signed a cooperation agreement. This partnership will allow BSU to join the QS Stars rating assessment system and gain access to QS's analytical database of global reputation surveys.

QS Stars is an international evaluation system that provides a comprehensive analysis of universities, helping to identify strengths in specific areas and offering detailed insights into institutional performance.
