BSU Signs Memoranda and Cooperation Agreements with 16 Universities of Uzbekistan
Baku State University (BSU) participated in the First Rectors’ Forum titled “Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan: Priority Areas for the Development of Cooperation in Higher Education”, held at Andijan State University in Uzbekistan.
BSU was represented by Vice-Rector Shahin Panakhov at the event, during which the university signed a series of memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements with several Uzbek higher education institutions.
In total, BSU established new partnerships with 16 universities in Uzbekistan. Cooperation agreements were signed with the Abu Ali Ibn Sina Bukhara State Medical Institute and the Mirza Ulugbek National University.
Memoranda of understanding were signed with the following institutions:
- Tashkent State Agrarian University
- Andijan State University
- Andijan State Technical University
- Navoi State Mining and Technological University
- Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service
- Fergana State University
- Andijan Branch of Kokand University
- Kokand State University
- Uzbek University of Journalism and Mass Communications
- University of Information Technology and Management
- Uzbek-Finnish Pedagogical Institute
- Karshi State University
- Anika University of Social Sciences
- Samarkand State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering
These agreements aim to foster academic and scientific collaboration through joint projects, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, symposia, short-term courses, training programs, and research initiatives. They also include provisions for joint scientific publications, the development of collaborative academic programs, and the exchange of faculty, administrative staff, students, master’s and doctoral candidates, and researchers.
