BSU Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Ajman University (UAE)
A delegation led by Professor Abdelkrim Seghir, Rector of Ajman University (United Arab Emirates), visited Baku State University (BSU).
Rector Elchin Babayev welcomed the guests and provided information about BSU’s history, educational and research infrastructure, and international cooperation. He noted that in recent years, BSU has been actively strengthening partnerships with universities across the Arab world. Meetings have been held with ambassadors of several Arab countries to Azerbaijan, and new collaborative projects are being developed.
Highlighting BSU’s role as the country’s leading center for Arabic language education, the Rector emphasized that the university’s growing research potential and the establishment of new scientific centers and laboratories create favorable conditions for cooperation with Ajman University in various fields.
Rector Abdelkrim Seghir expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate with BSU, noting that such partnerships contribute to the development of scientific and educational relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for joint research projects, the establishment of a joint laboratory, the creation of a Working Group to develop a dual degree program, and student and faculty exchange initiatives.
The visit concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Baku State University and Ajman University.
