Baku State University (BSU) and Bayraktar Technology Azerbaijan LLC have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at fostering cooperation in education, research, and innovation.

The memorandum was signed by BSU Rector Professor Elchin Babayev and Director of Bayraktar Technology Azerbaijan LLC, Huseyn Topuz.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted the promising prospects of collaboration in key areas such as computer engineering, nanotechnology, information technology, artificial intelligence, and chemical engineering. He expressed confidence that the agreement will serve as a strong foundation for joint research initiatives, academic events, training programs, internships, and employment opportunities for BSU students.

In his remarks, Huseyn Topuz emphasized the significance of the partnership, noting that not only Baykar, but also other leading companies in the Turkish defense industry, are keen to engage in this academic-industry collaboration.

According to the memorandum, both parties will engage in joint activities and research projects. The agreement also outlines plans for co-organized educational initiatives, student and staff training programs, and the establishment of internship opportunities for BSU students.
