BSU Staff Participate in DIRNA Project Event
An event titled "Open Access and Scientific Diplomacy" was held as part of the "Development of Research Potential in Azerbaijan through the Institutional Repository Network" (DIRNA) project, under the Erasmus+ KA2 program.
Baku State University (BSU), a partner in the project coordinated by Khazar University, was represented by Vice-Rector Shahin Panakhov and Director of the Scientific Library and Head of the DIRNA project at BSU, Nigar Ismayilova.
The event began with a presentation by Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University, who emphasized the importance and benefits of the DIRNA project. Aytaj Misgerli, Deputy Director of the Library and Information Center, elaborated on the project's objectives, activities, and achievements to date.
Professor Yusuf Baran, Rector of the Izmir Institute of Technology, delivered a keynote speech on "Open Access and Scientific Diplomacy." Additionally, Gültekin Gürdal, Director of the Izmir Institute Library, presented a talk titled "Breaking the Limits of Your Research: Making a Difference with Open Access."
This event underscored the growing importance of open access in advancing research and fostering international collaboration.
