BSU Staff Present at the 13th International Communication Days

Staff members of the Faculty of Journalism at Baku State University (BSU) participated in the 13th International Communication Days organized by Uskudar University in Türkiye. BSU representatives presented research papers at the international symposium held in Nicosia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, on the theme “Artificial Intelligence in Communication: Theory and Practice.”

Dean of the BSU Faculty of Journalism Professor Vugar Aliyev, who attended the opening ceremony as a guest of honor, spoke about the role of artificial intelligence in the disinformation ecosystem, information security, and the new challenges facing the media environment. He emphasized the importance of media literacy and professional journalism in the era of digital transformation.

During the panel sessions, Head of the Department of New Media and Communication Theory Khatira Guseynova, Head of the Department of International Journalism and Information Policy Ainur Nasirova, and lecturers Tarana Makhmudova, Gunel Geydarova, and Nursheref Taghieva presented their research papers online. The presentations focused on the application of artificial intelligence in media and communications, the challenges of digital journalism, and current issues in information policy.
