BSU Strengthens Academic Ties with Ege University in Türkiye
Mahir Pirguliyev, Head of the Rector’s Secretariat at Baku State University (BSU), paid an official visit to Ege University, one of Türkiye’s leading higher education institutions. During the trip, the BSU representative held a series of meetings with Ege University’s leadership to discuss ways of expanding mutual cooperation.
Pirguliyev met with Vice-Rector Prof. Mehmet Ersan, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Prof. Dinçer Ayaz and heads of various faculties and departments. The discussions focused on strengthening existing ties between the two universities and exploring new areas of collaboration.
Among the key topics were the establishment of dual-degree programs, joint scientific projects, student and faculty exchanges, as well as the organization of international conferences and symposiums. Particular attention was given to launching joint initiatives in line with advances in modern science and technology, especially in the natural sciences and engineering.
Both sides underlined the importance of a long-term strategic partnership between Ege University and BSU and agreed to further deepen cooperation in the coming years.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mahir Pirguliyev thanked Ege University’s leadership for their warm hospitality and expressed confidence that relations between the two universities will continue to strengthen.
