Baku State University (BSU) has deepened its international collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding with Balikesir University of Türkiye.

The agreement was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Balikesir University Rector Yucel Ogurlu.

The memorandum outlines a framework for extensive cooperation, including joint projects, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, symposiums, and training programs. It also supports collaborative scientific research, joint publications in academic journals, and the development of shared academic programs, curricula, and syllabi.

Additionally, the agreement facilitates the exchange of academic and administrative staff, students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, and researchers.

Founded in 1992, Balikesir University is recognized as one of Türkiye’s leading institutions, ranked 61st in the QS West Asia rankings.
