BSU Student Elected as a Member of the UN Youth Advisory Council
A student from the SABAH group at Baku State University (BSU) majoring in 'Jurisprudence,' Azer Seyidli, has been elected as a member of the United Nations Youth Advisory Council (UNYAC) for the years 2024-2025. In Azerbaijan, the UN is interested in incorporating the voices of the youth into its strategies and programs to improve the organization of youth programs and to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As a member of the Youth Advisory Council, Azer Seyidli will participate in meetings and events organized by the UN at regional and global levels related to youth. The BSU student, representing Azerbaijan's UN delegation, will consult with youth groups on specific issues and topics, identify initiatives and innovations to demonstrate the youth's contribution to achieving the SDGs in the country.
