BSU Students Complete Internship at Herba-Flora LLC

Students majoring in Food Engineering from the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Biology at Baku State University (BSU), successfully completed a practical training course at Herba-Flora LLC as part of the “Technological Operations in the Food Industry” course.

The internship was supervised by Associate Professor Chingiz Aliyev, who, together with specialists from Herba-Flora LLC, provided students with detailed insights into the design and reconstruction of process lines in the food industry, as well as the operation of modern chemical analysis laboratory equipment.

In line with the course curriculum, students gained both theoretical and practical knowledge of creating process lines, learning about the design, principles of operation, and technical specifications of machinery and equipment used in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. They also became familiar with the raw material storage facilities, quality preservation technologies, and the packaging and transportation processes for finished products. A structural diagram of the sesame oil production line was also demonstrated.

The internship concluded with an interactive session, during which company representatives answered students’ questions.
