BSU Students Familiarize Themselves with the Activities of the Central Phytosanitary Laboratory at the Azerbaijan Institute of Food Safety
Students from the SABAH groups at Baku State University (BSU), majoring in Biotechnology, participated in an information session at the Central Phytosanitary Laboratory of the Azerbaijan Institute of Food Safety (AIFS).
During the session, the students were informed about the laboratory's modern equipment, technical resources, and key areas of activity. Presentations were given on the operating principles of the quarantine examination departments, as well as the phytopathology and genomolecular diagnostics divisions. The types of research conducted in these departments were also discussed.
The students explored the laboratory's expertise in various fields, including entomology, herbology, phytohelminthology, mycology, bacteriology, and virology. Additionally, they were introduced to the methodologies used for conducting diagnostic studies.
