Students of Baku State University (BSU) participated in the International Symposium on Satellite Modeling and Aerospace Education, organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in cooperation with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Representing Azerbaijan at the event, BSU students designed and built a CanSat model satellite. Launched via drone, the CanSat measured temperature, air pressure and altitude, captured images, stored data in its memory, and transmitted it in real time to the ground control station. The students then analyzed the collected data, prepared graphs and delivered a presentation on their findings.

At the closing ceremony, BSU students were awarded certificates and badges in recognition of their successful participation in the symposium.
