BSU Students Informed About Urban Mobility
A meeting on “Mobility in Modern Cities: Balancing Comfort, Speed, and Accessibility” was held at Baku State University (BSU) as the part of the “Urban Talks” project initiated by BSU Volunteers.
The guest speaker, Rauf Agamirzayev, a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, discussed key urban transport challenges. Secretary General of BSU Volunteers, Gasim Khalilov, highlighted the project’s goals and its relevance in light of the upcoming World Urban Forum and the Sustainable Development Goals.
During the meeting, major issues such as traffic congestion, public transport delays, and unequal access to services were analyzed. The importance of inclusive transport systems—particularly for people with disabilities, the elderly, and students—was emphasized. Participants also learned about modern solutions, including mobile apps and digital tools for more efficient mobility management.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
