BSU Students Participate in ECO Youth Forum
Five students from Baku State University (BSU) – Mert Ustun, Aslan Bekirhan, Eylul Tanshi Karaca, Burcu Chaylak – along with this year’s BSU graduate, Fidan Kerimli, are participating in the Youth Forum of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), held as part of the ECO Week.
The Youth Forum featured a plenary session titled “High-Level Perspectives: The Role of Youth in Regional Development” and a panel session on “Country Interventions: National Perspectives on Assessing the Contribution of National Youth Strategies to Sustainable Development.”
Following the panel discussions, participants formed working groups to hold discussions in three key areas: economic and trade cooperation; sustainability and technology; and human development and people-to-people dialogue.
During the working group meetings, BSU student Mert Ustun proposed implementing an “ECO Volunteering” program across ECO member countries, noting that such an initiative would enable young people to gain valuable new experiences.
