Students and master’s students at Baku State University (BSU) enrolled in selected academic programmes will study certain courses at SABAH.city.

The courses will be offered to master’s students specialising in Nanophysics and Nanotechnology and Applied Physics (Semiconductor and Dielectric Physics) within the Physics programme, as well as Molecular Biology and Microbiology within the Biology programme. Undergraduate students enrolled in Biology and Biotechnology programmes will also take selected courses at SABAH.city.

The decision was made at the first meeting of the BSU Academic Council for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The initiative is supported by the research and innovation infrastructure at SABAH.city. BSU laboratories located on the campus provide opportunities to connect theoretical knowledge in nanophysics, nanobiology, biotechnology, chemistry and related fields with practical training and research. Bringing universities, research institutions, technology companies and startups together in a shared innovation environment will also allow students to gain greater exposure to modern scientific approaches, advanced technologies and applied research.

In addition, under an agreement with SABAH Academy, BSU will offer a one-semester Introduction to Entrepreneurship course to 100 students, with the participation of invited international lecturers and experts.

The course aims to foster entrepreneurial thinking and an innovative mindset among students while equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to turn business ideas into projects.
