Baku State University (BSU) will establish educational and research infrastructure at SABAH.city, an innovation hub located at the High-Tech Park of the Ministry of Science and Education.

The project aims to integrate BSU’s educational, research, and innovation potential into the SABAH.city ecosystem, creating stronger links between education, research, and industry and supporting the development of highly skilled human capital.

As part of the initial phase, cooperation mechanisms between BSU and the High-Tech Park have been established, a cooperation protocol has been signed with SABAH.city LLC, and relevant action plans have been developed.

A 407.1-square-meter facility has been established for BSU, comprising two laboratories, three classrooms, and an administrative office. The laboratories include a Nanobiology, Biotechnology and Biochemistry Laboratory and a Nanophysics Laboratory, which will support practical training and research in a range of scientific fields.

The facilities are equipped with 331 types of scientific equipment and material sets, providing approximately 190 practical learning opportunities across 11 scientific disciplines.

The physical laboratories will be complemented by a virtual laboratory platform featuring 11 scientific modules and more than 60 interactive experiments. Available in Azerbaijani and English around the clock, the platform will allow students to prepare for laboratory sessions in a virtual environment before conducting experiments with actual equipment.

Initially, SABAH.city plans to offer master’s-level training in biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as bachelor’s-level courses in related fields. International professional certification programs will also be incorporated into the curriculum.

The project will further support the development of students’ and researchers’ skills in entrepreneurship, innovation, and the commercialization of scientific research.
