BSU to Host Opening Ceremony of Arabic Language Month in Azerbaijan
At the initiative of The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language (KSGAFAL), the month of August has been officially designated as Arabic Language Month in Azerbaijan.
The first two weeks of the month will feature poetry, recitation, and essay competitions in Arabic. These events are open to all Arabic language learners across the country and offer a valuable opportunity to showcase linguistic skills and promote intercultural dialogue.
The third and most significant week of Arabic Language Month will be hosted by Baku State University (BSU). The university will hold an official opening ceremony attended by Professor Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, the Secretary-General of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, along with his accompanying delegation.
The event is expected to welcome representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Culture, embassies of Arab countries accredited in Azerbaijan, ISESCO, and other international organizations.
Additionally, the International Forum on the Arabic Language will be held on August 18, bringing together prominent scholars, Arabists from Azerbaijan, and invited guests from various countries.
