BSU to Offer a New Master's Specialization in Political Geography
Beginning with the 2026/2027 academic year, the Faculty of Geography at Baku State University (BSU) will, for the first time, offer a Master's specialization in Political Geography.
The new specialization will provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in geopolitics, electoral geography, limology (border studies), political-regional studies, and other contemporary fields. Students will develop competencies in analyzing the political map of the world, assessing international and regional processes from a spatial perspective, conducting analytical research, and interpreting contemporary political developments.
Graduates will be qualified to work in government institutions, local self-government bodies, think tanks, research institutes, and higher education institutions. The new specialization is expected to contribute to the advancement of geopolitical research in Azerbaijan and the preparation of highly qualified professionals in the field of political geography.
