Baku State University (BSU) and the University of South Bohemia have signed a cooperation agreement.
The online meeting was attended by BSU rector Elchin Babaev, rector of the University of South Bohemia Bohumil Jiroušek and other officials. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the issues arising from cooperation between the two universities.
Rector Elchin Babayev noted that the Faculty of Biology had 12 educational and 2 research laboratories. He informed about the studies carried out by the Faculty in the field of parasitology, infectious biology, biochemistry, hydrobiology and cell biology. Elchin Babaev emphasized the importance of the joint research activities.
Rector Bohumil Jiroušek expressed his confidence that the agreement would play an important role in future cooperation between universities.
The agreement provides for joint development and implementation of education programmes, organization of joint research and education projects, holding joint seminars, scientific conferences and meetings.
