The opening ceremony of the event themed "Sumgait – the Capital of Youth in 2025" was held under the joint organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Executive Authority of Sumgait.

During the event, Chairperson of the BSU Volunteers organization at Baku State University, Narmin Heydarova, was honored with the "Young Person of the Year" award. In recognition of her contributions, she was also presented with a Certificate of Honor by the Baku City Youth and Sports Department.

BSU Volunteers Organization, which boasts 1,500 members, plays an active role in the university’s social, public, and cultural life, making a significant impact both within BSU and across the country.
