BSU Volunteers Conduct Civil Trial Simulation
20/10/2025
The first stage of a civil trial simulation was held at the Binagadi District Court in Baku. The event was organized by members of the BSU Volunteers organization from the Faculty of Law of Baku State University (BSU), together with staff from the Department of Civil Procedure and Commercial Law.
During the simulation, participants gained practical experience in court proceedings at the first-instance level, including the presentation of procedural positions by the parties, the examination of evidence, and the decision-making process.
Representatives of the Department of Civil Procedure and Commercial Law delivered presentations highlighting the significance of studying trial procedures through real-life experience in legal education.
More than 40 students attended the event as observers. The organizers also announced a special competition for them: students who observed the trial at either the first or appellate instance will be asked questions related to the proceedings. A panel of judges will evaluate the answers, and the top three winners will receive certificates and prizes.
