BSU was presented at the General Assembly of the EIFL Consortium

The scientific library of Baku State University (BSU) was presented at the General Assembly of the International Consortium for Electronic Information for Libraries (EIFL). The event was organized by the Vilnius Public Library named after Adomas Mickevičius in cooperation with the Consortium of Scientific Libraries of Lithuania (LMBA).

The Azerbaijani Library and Information Consortium (Az.KİK), operating under the auspices of the Scientific Library of BSU, has been a member of EIFL since 2003. Participating in the General Assembly, the Scientific Library represented not only BSU but also the scientific libraries that are part of Az.KİK.

Electronic Information for Libraries (EIFL, https://www.eifl.net) founded in 2000, is an international consortium that works with libraries to enable access to knowledge in developing and transition countries to support sustainable development. EIFL works in collaboration with libraries in 53 countries in Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America.

EIFL’s core programs include licensing of electronic resources; copyright and intellectual property; open access and public library innovations. EIFL works with university libraries to strengthen human capacity and information-resource infrastructure to support education, learning, and research.
