Bundestag deputy visited BSU

The Rector of Baku State University (BSU), academician Abel Maharramov met with Steffen, Claudio Lemma, deputy of the German Bundestag. During the meeting Germany deputy told about the Bundestag-sponsored International Parliamentary Scholarship program. 5 scholars from the Azerbaijan will have opportunity to work in the offices of the Bundestag during the several month, to listen to lectures given at the best universities in Berlin. The programme's aim is to contribute to the future executives' qualification in international relations and by this support a closer co-operation between nations. Every year, 120 young people from 28 countriestake part in theInternationalParliamentary Scholarship (IPS) program. The Rector Abel Maharramov expressed the hope that the experience gained in Germany would be useful in Azerbaijan.
