A new Center of Excellence in Research, Development and Innovation has been established at BSU. 9 Research labs and more than 70 researchers will work at the Center.

The Center will address the research in the industrial field, in particular the oil and gas industry, mining, agriculture and food security as well as nanotechnology, molecular biology and virology, biotechnology, industrial chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental sciences, earth sciences, astrospace and atmospheric sciences, and digital research.

Center will work in close cooperation with the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan (KOBIA) to support the development of partnerships between the public, private and industrial sectors based on mutual interest. An Incubation and Acceleration Collab will be created at BSU for this purpose.

Newly established at BSU BUILD Limited Liability Company, supported by KOBIA, will act as a technology transfer office to enable students and researchers to use the infrastructure of the Center.
