Chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), Farid Shafiyev has met with students of the Faculty of History of Baku State University (BSU) within the framework of the project "Famous graduates of the Faculty of History".

The event was moderated by Dean of the Faculty of History, Professor Ibrahim Zeynalov.

Presentation of the book "Russian-Soviet Settlement Policy and the Conflict in the South Caucasus" by Farid Shafiyev was held at the event.

BSU rector Elchin Babayev made the opening speech. He said that Farid Shafiev is one of the most active members of BSU Board of Trustees. He also touched upon the successful work of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center). He praised his work on Russian-Soviet Settlement Policy and the Conflict in the South Caucasus.

Addressing the meeting, Farid Shafiyev shared his memories of his student years. He also spoke about the the 44-day Patriotic War.  He stressed that the successful end of the Patriotic War has changed the balance of forces in the region and created a new reality.

The event was followed by a question-and-answer session with students.
