Baku State University (BSU) hosted a meeting with representatives from Clarivate Analytics, attended by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev, Vice-Rector Huseyn Mammadov, Rector’s Advisor Aydin Kazimzade, and Clarivate Analytics representatives Valentin Bogorov and Anna Trifonova.

The discussions focused on optimizing BSU’s capabilities, enhancing its ranking position, and expanding its academic influence. Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted that collaboration with Clarivate Analytics provides a strong foundation for boosting the university's competitiveness, fostering innovation, and supporting researchers. He emphasized the value of Clarivate’s approach to assessing the impact of scientific publications, which underscores the importance of this partnership.

Topics covered included joint conferences and seminars, scientific performance evaluation, and broader access to Clarivate Analytics resources for BSU researchers.

Valentin Bogorov and Anna Trifonova presented strategies to amplify BSU’s global visibility. They noted that Clarivate’s tools and resources will elevate the university's scientific impact, citation index, and researchers’ access to international journals, positioning BSU on a new trajectory for academic influence.
