Closing ceremony of educational project CODE FOR FUTURE held at BSU
On December 27, the closing ceremony of the educational project "CODE FOR FUTURE" was held at Baku State University.
The event was attended by Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullaev, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University Vilayat Veliyev, academic staff and students.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullaev said: “Currently, 300,000 schoolchildren are studying programming in general education schools as part of the Digital Skills project. During the year, 3,000 students graduated from IT specialties (programming, cybersecurity, systems engineering, computer engineering, etc.).
BSU rector Elchin Babayev noted that the CODE FOR FUTURE project has been implemented since 2021 with the participation of the Ministry of Science and Education, Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the CodeAcademy Educational Center. Currently, about 200 BSU students are studying at the university under the CodeAcademy and DevEducation projects.
