A Republican scientific conference dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the renowned chemist, Professor Hajali Najafoghlu, was held at Baku State University (BSU).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted Professor Najafoghlu’s significant contributions to the development of chemical science, his role in promoting Azerbaijani science and culture, and his efforts in strengthening BSU’s international standing. It was emphasized that the professor is a recognized expert in crystallography, the author of numerous scientific publications, and a mentor to many young researchers.

During the conference, a video presentation showcasing Professor Najafoghlu’s scientific and educational career was screened. Representatives of scientific and educational institutions from Azerbaijan and abroad delivered congratulatory speeches and video messages.

In his closing remarks, Professor Najafoghlu expressed his gratitude for the high level of organization of the conference and for the recognition of his scientific and pedagogical achievements. The conference continued with breakout sessions.
