Baku State University hosted the conference " Integration Processes in Sphere of Science and Education  in the context of globalization". The event was opened by  rector, academician Abel Maharramov. He welcomed the guests and highlighted the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to the development of education in Azerbaijan. Rector made his speech about  Integration Processes in Sphere of Science and Education and stressed the importance of the unified educational system in the context of globalization.
The event was attended by  the sixth president of the Republic of Latvia, Dr. Vaira Vike-Freiberg, director of the Library of Alexandria, Dr. Ismail Serageldin, the President of Kyrgyzstan from 7 April 2010 until 1 December 2011,  Dr. Roza Otunbayeva, Baroness Susan Greenfield,  Ambassador Walter Fust, head of the International “Club de Madrid” Agustín Briano.
At the end, the guests were awarded  a diploma “Honorable Guest ”.   A Memorandum of  Understanding was signed  between the BSU and the Library of Alexandria.
