An International Conference "March 31 Genocide: History and Reality", dedicated to March 31- the Day of Azerbaijanis Genocide was held at BSU. The event was organized by the Faculty of Journalism.
The online conference was attended by BSU faculty members and students, as well as scientists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iraq and Russia.
The Conference was moderated by Vugar Aliyev, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism. Addressing the event, he briefed participants on the history of the Genocide.
Vugar Aliyev noted the state-level political evaluation of criminal acts of Armenians against the Azeri people was given only by the Decree of the national leader Heydar Aliyev “On the genocide of Azerbaijanis” dated 26 March, 1998.
Chairman of the World Association of Journalists Shemseddin Kuzeci, Head of the Department of History of the National Press of the Faculty of Journalism of BSU Jahangir Mammadli, Professor of Ataturk University Esin Derinsu Dayi, Professor of the Department of Multimedia and Electronic Communications Gulu Maharramli, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of Adnan Menderes Aydin University Turan Akkoyun, Dean of the Faculty of Political Administration of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elchin Ahmedov, editor of the Turkish newspaper "Yazar" Servet Avshar, Head of the Department of Multimedia and Electronic Communications of the Faculty of Journalism of BSU Allahverdi Mammadli made speech at the event.
