Contemporary Azerbaijani Literature Discussed at Baku State University

A master class titled “Main Trends in Contemporary Azerbaijani Literature and Criticism” was held at BSU’s Faculty of Philology as part of events dedicated to Science Day on March 27.
Member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and literary scholar Elnara Akimova discussed the development of new artistic trends in Azerbaijani literature since the 1980s and the influence of the independence period on literary thought.
The speaker highlighted themes such as identity, changing aesthetic approaches, and the growing motif of alienation in contemporary literary works.
The event ended with discussions and questions from participants.
