Delegation from Aktobe Regional University Visits BSU to Strengthen Academic Cooperation
Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), welcomed a delegation from K.Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University (Kazakhstan), led by its Rector, Laura Karabasova, to discuss prospects for academic collaboration.
During the meeting, Rector Babayev emphasized the importance of enhancing educational and scientific ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, highlighting that such cooperation would yield significant benefits for both institutions. He noted that BSU has a strong track record of successful partnerships with Kazakhstani universities and sees great potential for collaboration with Aktobe Regional University. Areas of cooperation could include joint scientific research, academic and cultural mobility, student and faculty exchanges, and the development of dual-degree programs.
Rector Karabasova expressed her university’s strong interest in working closely with BSU, stating: “Among Azerbaijani universities, our primary focus for cooperation is BSU.” She highlighted the importance of academic mobility and proposed collaboration in physics, mathematics, nanotechnology, Turkology, and archaeology.
Both universities affirmed their commitment to fostering mutual academic and research initiatives, strengthening ties between the two institutions and contributing to broader regional scientific cooperation.
