Delegation from ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) visits BSU
A meeting was held at the Faculty of International Relations and Economics of Baku State University (BSU) with a delegation from the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Siti Rozaimeriyanty, Secretary-General of AIPA provided information about the organization's activities and projects in the fields of scientific research and higher education.
The parties discussed the prospects of mutual cooperation, opportunities for partnership between scientific and educational centers of ASEAN countries and BSU.
After the meeting, Secretary-General Siti Rozaimeryanti gave a lecture to the students on the topic "ASEAN Activities and Its Role in the Region".
AIPA stands for ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. It serves as the center of communication and information among Member Parliaments which consist of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. AIPA aims to encourage understanding, cooperation, and close relations among Member Parliaments as well as Observer Member Parliaments and other parliamentary organizations.
