Delegation from Beijing University of Chemical Technology Visits BSU
A delegation of faculty members and doctoral students from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), led by Vice Dean Yu Yuen, visited Baku State University (BSU).
During the visit, the delegation met with BSU Rector Elchin Babayev. The Rector noted the strong political, economic, scientific, and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and China, as well as BSU’s active cooperation with Chinese universities. He emphasized the importance of implementing joint projects with BUCT to further strengthen these ties.
The sides discussed prospects for expanding scientific and academic collaboration between the two universities.
The guests also visited BSU’s Ecospace, Student Space, Student Scientific and Technical Creativity Center, and the Confucius Institute. They were briefed on research activities conducted in the nanoscience and materials science laboratories, as well as at the nuclear magnetic resonance facility of the Faculty of Chemistry.
Additionally, a meeting was held between faculty and doctoral students of BSU’s Faculty of Chemistry and representatives of BUCT at the Student Development Center. The event featured video presentations about both universities, followed by research reports from Chinese doctoral students and an exchange of views on future cooperation.
