Delegation from East Kazakhstan Technical University Visits Baku State University
A delegation led by Saule Rakhmetullina, Rector of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, visited Baku State University (BSU) to explore opportunities for academic collaboration.
During the meeting, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized that strong bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan provide a solid foundation for cooperation in science and education. He highlighted BSU’s keen interest in partnering with East Kazakhstan Technical University in areas such as cybersecurity, computer technology, geology, and nanotechnology, as well as in establishing dual-degree programs. Babayev also underscored the potential for both universities to conduct joint research, co-author scientific publications, and organize international conferences.
In response, Rector Saule Rakhmetullina noted that East Kazakhstan Technical University is one of Kazakhstan’s leading engineering institutions, comprising five faculties. She proposed expanding academic mobility programs, facilitating the exchange of faculty and students, and strengthening inter-university cooperation.
The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration through student and faculty exchange initiatives, dual-degree programs, and joint academic projects. Both sides expressed their commitment to fostering long-term cooperation in science and education.
