A delegation led by Huang Hengzhu, Vice-Rector of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics (People’s Republic of China), visited Baku State University (BSU).

During the meeting, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev briefed the guests on the university’s history, its international relations, and particularly its cooperation with Chinese universities and research institutions. He emphasized that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and China are successfully developing in the fields of science and education, highlighting the special role of the Confucius Institute operating at BSU.

Rector Babayev noted that in recent years, bilateral relations have been progressing steadily, reaching a qualitatively new level following the state visit of President Ilham Aliyev to China. He underlined that projects implemented in cultural, humanitarian, and educational spheres play an important role in strengthening the friendship between the two countries.

Vice-Rector Huang Hengzhu expressed interest in establishing cooperation with BSU, noting that such collaboration would contribute to the development of both countries in the fields of science and education.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on opportunities for integration and future collaboration between BSU and Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics.
