Baku State University (BSU) hosted a delegation from Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), with the participation of Anar Iskenderov, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Science and Education.

The delegation included Shamil Ayrım, Chairman of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group; Orhan Erdem, Chairman of the Türkiye-TRNC Interparliamentary Friendship Group; Erdal Özçenk, Chairman of the Board of the East Aegean University Foundation; Hasan Kılıç, Rector of East Aegean University; and Anıl Kaya, Political Advisor to the President of the TRNC.

In his welcoming remarks, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted the significance of the meeting in further strengthening collaboration among Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and the TRNC in the fields of science, education, and culture. He emphasized that such engagements are crucial for promoting joint scientific research, launching collaborative academic programs, facilitating student and faculty exchanges, and expanding international cooperation.

During the meeting, participants reviewed existing cooperation in education and science and exchanged ideas on prospective joint projects and upcoming events.
