Delegation of Charles University visits BSU
Rector of Baku State University, academician Abel Maharramov met with Dean of the Faculty of Science of Charles University Prof. Jiří Zima.
Academician Abel Maharramov highlighted the history of the higher educational institution, as well as its foreign relations. He referred to the Memorandum of Understandingsigned between Baku State University and Charles University in 2014. Under the document, the two universities carry out the student and teacher exchange, and participate in EU projects and programs.
Rector also mentioned that 10 teachers and students from Charles University visited Ganja, Gazakh, Lankaran and Nakhchivan to study the nature, flora and fauna of our country last year.
Charles University was founded in 1348, making it one of the oldest universities in the world. Yet it is also renowned as a modem, dynamic, cosmopolitan and prestigious institution of higher education. There are currently 17 faculties at the University (14 in Prague, 2 in Hradec Králové and 1 in Plzeň), plus 3 institutes, 6 other centres of teaching, research, development and other creative activities, a centre providing information services and 5 facilities serving the whole University.
