Deputy Foreign Minister Meets BSU Students
Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev met with students of Baku State University (BSU).
Opening the event, Vice-Rector Alish Agamirzayev highlighted BSU’s strong cooperation with state institutions and the importance of such meetings for students’ career development. Rector Elçin Babayev emphasized the university’s key role in training highly qualified professionals, noting that many employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including several deputy ministers and heads of diplomatic missions, are BSU graduates.
Yalçin Rafiyev, himself a BSU alumnus, encouraged students to actively use their university years, learn foreign languages, and develop communication skills. He underlined the importance of a balanced and pragmatic foreign policy and described diplomacy as a highly honorable profession serving national interests.
The Deputy Minister also spoke about upcoming recruitment exams, expanding internship opportunities, and the “Diplomacy Volunteers” program, inviting students and graduates to participate actively.
