Ayhan Tuğlu, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Türkiye, delivered a lecture at the Faculty of Information and Document Management of Baku State University (BSU) titled “The Role of Libraries in the Protection of Cultural Heritage.”

During his presentation, Tuğlu discussed the historical development of libraries in Türkiye and emphasized their growing role as cultural and social institutions. He also provided detailed information about the National Library, established in 2020 on the initiative of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, highlighting its contribution to the preservation of Turkish cultural heritage.

The lecture concluded with discussions on future cooperation, including plans for joint events and internship opportunities for BSU students.
