Discovery of BSU biophysicists was greeted with great interest by world scientists
Rovshan Khalilov, Professor at the Department of Biophysics and Biochemistry, Faculty of Biology and Aygun Nasibova, Associate Professor at the Department have discovered a broad EPR (Electron Paramagnetic Resonance)signal (g = 2.32; ΔH = 320 Qs) by studying the effects of radiation on plants by the method of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). Scientists investigated the temperature dependence and relaxation properties of this signal.
The results of BSU scientists have been confirmed by Mössbauer methods and published in reputable scientific journals such as The Lancet, Nature Medicine, Nano Today, Bioelectrochemistry, Microorganisms, Artificial Cells, Nanomedicine and Biotechnology, Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Experimental Oncology and Molecular Biology.
