ECOLEAD Project Advances with Joint Efforts of Prosecutor General's Office, Ministry of Ecology, and BSU
The ECOLEAD project (Strengthening the Environment: The Role of Awareness-Raising and Law Enforcement Measures), a collaborative initiative between the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR), and Baku State University (BSU), continues to make significant progress. This project aligns with the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World."
To raise public awareness about environmental issues, educational posters have been placed across streets, avenues, and parks as part of the project’s outreach efforts.
Last month, a tree planting campaign took place in the Yasamal district, with participation from officials and employees of the partnering institutions, alongside BSU students.
The primary goal of the ECOLEAD project is to restore green spaces that have been damaged by environmental crimes in the country. The project is guided by a memorandum of understanding, initially signed at an event in Khankendi between the Prosecutor General's Office, MENR, and BSU. Nakhchivan State University has since joined the initiative.
