Šefik Džaferović, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented a title of Honorary Doctor of Baku State University on November 6, 2021.

Šefik Džaferović has been awarded a title of the Honorary Doctor by the decision of the Academic Council of Baku State University for his outstanding contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev stressed the significance of the visit of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the university. Elchin Babayev said that Šefik Džaferović made great contribution to the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to the development of science and education. “Bosnia and Herzegovina respects territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and supports its fair position on the Karabakh conflict”, said Elchin Babayev.

Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov in his speech emphasized the contribution of Šefik Džaferović to the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Šefik Džaferović, Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed satisfaction with the award of the title of Honorary Doctor of BSU. Šefik Džaferović congratulated the participants of the event on restoration of territorial integrity and expressed the confidence that Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina would continue to cooperate on the political, economic and cultural issues.
