Eleven BSU Programs Obtain International Accreditation
Eleven master’s degree programs in the natural sciences and engineering at Baku State University (BSU) have successfully received international accreditation.
The programs were accredited by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA), a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
As part of the process, international expert panels evaluated 11 specializations, including Solid State Electronics, Biophysics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Environmental Chemistry, Geochemistry, Chemistry of Nanomaterials, Radiation Materials Science, Discrete Systems, Mathematical Analysis, and Mathematical Modeling.
The experts conducted an on-site review of BSU’s academic processes, governance, and infrastructure. Meetings were held with faculty, administrative staff, students, graduates, and employers, with a focus on curricula, teaching methods, quality assurance systems, and facilities.
The accreditation committees granted full accreditation to all 11 programs for a five-year period, valid until March 27, 2031.
