Elsevier Training Series Continues at BSU

The second session of the Elsevier training series has been held at Baku State University (BSU), led by Elsevier manager Saida Sak.
The session focused on selecting the right academic journals and evaluating research performance. Participants were introduced to key criteria such as journal scope, indexing, impact factors, target audience, and publication ethics, along with practical guidance on avoiding predatory journals.
Special attention was given to Elsevier’s platforms Scopus and SciVal, highlighting their role in tracking citations, assessing research impact, and identifying collaboration opportunities and global trends.
The training concluded with an interactive Q&A session, and the program will continue in the coming days.
